Our History

On August 5, 1867, The Juniata Valley Bank opened its doors for business. From the first day, we made it a priority to not only meet, but also exceed our customers’ expectations of service. The idea that a local bank can offer all of the financial services a community needs has not changed in over 150 years. Starting with one location in Mifflintown, Juniata County, JVB has gradually expanded to include 15 community offices in Huntingdon, Juniata, Mifflin, McKean, Perry, and Potter Counties, along with two satellite offices for loans and other financial services. As we have grown, our continued concern for and commitment to our customers is as unwavering now as it was at the beginning. JVB. Bank Right.
